Hyderabad: Addressing a press conference yesterday, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir told that Akbaruddin Owaisi has given a proof of his contacts with Narendra Modi by announcing CBI probe for the institutions managed by MIM.It is a well known fact that CBI functions under the direct control of PM. Mr. Shabbir welcomed his announcement and said that Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi would stick to his demand. JEDDAH : An attack on a mosque in Al-Ahsa on Friday has left three dead and several injured and an attacker in police custody, according to reports from local media. Al-Ahsa is in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, which last year saw two major mosque attacks. Last May, a suicide bomber blew himself up during Friday prayer at a mosque in the village of Al-Qadeeh in eastern Saudi Arabia, killing21 and wounding 100 others. Hyderabad: MIM supporters try to disrupt Congress rally as a part of the GHMC election campaign at Mehdipatnam on Wednesday. As per Hans India reports, leader of opposition in legislative council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Congress and activists undertook a massive rally with Mehdipatnam contestant Mohammed Abdul Khaleq. When the rally was passing through the lane between Murad Nagar and Mehdipatnam, the MIM activists allegedly raised slogans and tried to intimidate Congress workers. Both MIM and Congress workers clash. New Delhi:The Centre has so far released around Rs 12,000 crore to eight states to tackle drought situation this year, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh today said adding this along with other measures will reduce impact of poor rains on farm production. The country witnessed back-to-back drought due to deficit rains for the second straight year. Total 10 states have declared drought in half of the country. "We have released about Rs 12,000 crore drought relief funds to eight states so far this year. We will soon release for the rest two states," Singh said addressing an event on attracting and retaining youth in agricultureorganised jointly by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and All India Agriculture Students Association (AIASA).The decision on the proposals of Rajasthan and Jharkhand will be taken soon, he said.The Centre has released Rs 1,540 crore drought assistance to Karnataka, Rs 1,670 crore to Chhattisgarh, Rs 2,032 crore to Madhya Pradesh and Rs 3...

Washington :The Zika virus,  a mosquito-borne disease suspected of causing serious birth defects, is expected to spread to all countries in the Americas except Canada and Chile, the World Health Organisation said.Zika has suspected but unproven links to microcephaly— in which babies born to women infected during pregnancy have abnormally smallheads. The virus is already present in 21 of the 55 countries and territories across the Americas, the WHO said in a statement Sunday.But it stressed that the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which carries Zika and also dengue and chikungunya viruses, is already present in all countries in the Americas besides Canada and Chile. WHO pointed out that since people in the region had not been exposed to Zika before it emerged inBrazil last May they lacked immunity, allowing the virus to spread quickly.The UN health agency said it therefore “anticipates that Zika virus will continue to spreadand will likely reach all countries and territories...

He charges that he sexually assaulted three women in the US, the Los Angeles County District Attorney`s Office announced. Supreme Court rejects plea on retaining Kalaburagi's old name . The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a plea questioning renaming of Gulbarga as Kalaburgi, saying it was for the government to take such decisions which cannot be examined by it. Senior advocate Basava P Patil, appearing for Sharan Desai, submitted the government decided to change the name of several cities including Gulbarga by ignoring the 600-year old history.
